Note:

The reverse of this painting is inscribed “N.D. Young”. N.D. Young is the grandchild of Mrs. Christina Bertram, who acted as a mother to Jackson for 25 years and, he states, “never a week passed while I was in Toronto that I did not have tea or supper with her. She knew Thomson, MacDonald and many other artists, and she was one of our most loyal supporters.”
