Provenance:

L.T. Porter Collection (acquired directly from the artist)
Private Collection

Note:

According to the owner, this work was originally sold by Roberts Gallery to Canadian collectors L.T Porter and Alma Porter. They would have selected this work by Walter Yarwood (1917-1996) because of the artwork’s rich and commanding sense of colour. There is a related painting to this work entitled Yellow Totem. The totem acts as the central element in both works.
