VINCENT MASSEY

Vincent Massey, a fourth generation artist, discovered his passion and flare for pottery at the early age of 15. He studied at the renowned West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham, England where he specialized in traditional English and Japanese methods of stoneware, Receiving his B.A. in Ceramics (Honors) in 1978.

Massey mixes and ages his own clay and experiments with his own personal glaze recipes to achieve his one-of-a-kind, spontaneous pots. His work is a mixture of hand built vessels with extruded parts and wheel thrown and altered functional art. Massey has participated in both solo and group exhibitions since 1991and his work is found in both corporate and private collections in Canada.

Vincent Massey lives and works in Whistler, B.C.
