CHUCK WISSINGER

Charles Wissinger was born in Pennsylvania, and received his bachelor’s degree in art education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1968, and his Master of Fine Arts, with a major in Ceramics and Minors in Sculpture and Photography-cinematography form Ohio State University in 1970. Following his degree, he taught in at Elmira College in upstate New York for four years before accepting a teaching position at Red Deer College in Alberta, where he worked for twenty five years teaching ceramics, drawing, sculpture and photography . In 2000, Wissinger moved to Texas and taught design and ceramics fort three years at University of Texas-Pan American. He joined Texas A&M University in Kingsville, where he is now Director of the Art Department. Wissinger lives in Kingsville, Texas.
