TRETCHIKOFF COLOUR PRINTS REPRODUCED FROM ORIGINAL PAINTINGS WITH INTRODUCTION BY LESLIE RICHFIELD
Spiral bound book contained within marbled cardboard portfolio envelope illustrated with 10 colour reproductions of the artist’s paintings tipped to heavy grey boards; with one pasted to the front of the book (a duplicate of “Self-Portrait”), with two of the bound plates, autographed and dated 1954 in pen and ink by Tretchikoff (the two depicting the artist) and with two loose mounted illustrations: “Zulu Girl” and “Zulu Couple” included at the front; each autographed in pen and ink by Tretchikoff. Autographed and dated 1954 in pen and ink to the title page. Contained in a folio with colour illustration of “Self-Portrait” on front cover. Published by Howard Timmins, Cape Town.

Timmins states that the portfolio contains twelve reproductions of the artist's work. This lot has only 10 reproductions bound into the book tipped on to heavy grey boards with two loose prints. The front of the portfolio envelope in this example has a duplicate image of “Self-Portrait,” one being bound in to the book at the back.
