Painted circa 1925.

Reid writes that Jackson’s Quebec paintings have always been considered one of the most important facets of his work: “It was only in 1921, however, that he began sketching in Quebec with any serious application.” By 1925, Jackson had established a regular routine of late winter or early spring sketching in Quebec.
