Note:

Duval writes that later in 1914 MacDonald made trips to Minden and to the Gatineau River: “He did a series of brilliant on-the-spot studies in both locations, including the superb sketch (Art Gallery of Windsor) for the major canvas, Logs on the Gatineau (Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon).”

-very good condition
-a miniscule dot is visible under ultra violet light (and to the naked eye) in the upper left (sky)
-also a tiny area visible under ultra violet light at upper right edge of work
