Provenance:

Executed as a private commission for Mr. B. Kronas, Hamilton, ON in 1968;
Passed down to the present family member who also knew the artist as a young girl

Literature:

Accompanied by Suzanne Bourret’s newspaper article in “The Hamilton Spectator”, July 12, 1986 headed “Tally Ho! Now that Don Quixote and friends are moving out Dundas home beckons a more practical individual”. “The mural and a number of other portraits Moya created for the Kronas family shows a lively scene of Don Quixote, Dulcinea and a host of Characters both real and fantasy, including one soldier resembling Moya. It, covers one whole wall in the sunken living room of the Kronas’ Tally Ho Drive home in Dundas”

Note:

The Kronas family met the artist on a trip to Mexico in the 1960’s. The artist lived in residence with the family while he created other works. 

Proceeds will benefit Joseph Brant Hospital and will be directed to the purchase of medication dispensing systems.
