Waddington’s is pleased to offer Second Harvest’s charity donated wines in this auction, lots 363-376. Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue charity, helping to nourish people through school programs, seniors’ centres, shelters, food banks, and regional food hubs.

Due to COVID-19, Second Harvest was unable to hold their annual Live Charity Wine Auction earlier this year. We are proud to play a small part in helping them achieve their fundraising goals.

It’s Elemental: Line and Colour in Contemporary Art

October 24 - 29, 2020

A beautifully cohesive auction with expressive works by established artists, “It’s Elemental” focuses on the intersection of line and colour in contemporary art. Carefully curated over many months, this auction asks collectors to reconsider the basic principles of design and how they manifest in the work of this diverse group of artists.

Canadian artists of note include John Hartman, Wanda Koop, Thomas Sherlock Hodgson, Yves Gaucher, Melanie Authier, Nicole Katsuras, Greg Hardy and Angela Leach. Ahead of 2021, which has been proclaimed as the Year of Public Art in Toronto, collectors should keep an eye out for Shayne Dark’s maquette for “Double Take,” a public sculpture located on Ted Rogers Way.
